Job Description

Pays $19 for Class B and $20-$25 for Class A, depending on experience. Work 6am until finish, Monday - Friday, with the opportunity for overtime on weekdays and Saturdays during the busy season. Looking for a "working driver" for this physically demanding job. The primary duty of this position is to deliver building materials to customers' place of business or jobsite. You will operate within a maximum of a 200-mile radius, with deliveries originating and ending at the branch (no deliveries result in an overnight stay). A path of advancement is provided for drivers with on-the-job and web-based training, allowing for you to move up into other driving roles or into other positions within the branch. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Safely drive a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations; Be a leader for jobsite safety by operating all equipment in accordance with local, state and federal laws at all times; Perform pre and post trip inspections; Validate and confirm inventory loaded on the truck by comparing purchase orders; Ensure that routing information is obtained prior to leaving the branch; Confirm addresses and sign off on delivery tickets; Conduct jobsite inspections and document any existing damage to lawn, landscaping or driveway, and the location of any power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, fences, etc.; and, Capture pictures of all building products delivered in accordance with company policy.

Job Requirements

Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) and a current DOT medical certificate.
Ability to load and unload building products that weigh up to 100 pounds on a continuous basis. A safe driver with no hit and runs, DWI or DUI convictions within the last 12 months.
Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
A minimum of 18 years of age.
Must pass a required drug test. Must not have a positive drug test result in the last 12 months.
Willingness to work outdoors in most weather conditions.
Confidence to work on rooftops.
Safety conscious and a good attitude.
